To help target all of what’s populating now, Google Shopping exclusively shared its Top Summer 2024 Travel Shopping Trends with the Post Wanted team. We outlined the major ones below so you can best understand what to *really* purchase online right now, from luggage to vacation clothing.

Ahead, you’ll find the most timely assortment of gadgets — including headphones and travel water bottles — along with tote bags, comfortable walking shoes and more. We must say, this is the travel edit.
According to Google Shopping, “embroidery” is the top trending topic searched with “bag tag.” We adore the Single-Side Personalized Luggage Strap, available on Etsy, that’s budget-friendly and ensures you can locate your travel items quickly.

Searches for “anti-theft travel bags” reached an all-time high in February 2024, according to Google Shopping. The VADOO Anti-Theft Crossbody Sling Bag is a style more than 4,000 Amazon shoppers flock to monthly, coming in a few colors and being as lightweight as ever. Not to mention, it’s less than $25 on Amazon.

When you’re traveling, you’ll want your hair out of your face — no questions asked. According to Google Shopping, “headband” is more than three times more searched than “hair clip,” with all fifty states searching for headbands more.

Unsurprisingly, Google Shopping told us that searches for “collapsible water bottles for travel” rose more than 540% in 2024. Plus, it’s only $8 right now.
According to Google Shopping, hot pink is the “in” color for 2024, an homage to the rise of Barbie. Not to mention, the CALPAK Hue Large Luggage is one of our personal favorites for its hard exterior quality and spacious interior.
Following the rise of hot pink, shoppers are adding black, silver, purple and green luggage shades to their carts this year.
The CAMKORY Compact Digital 1080P Camera is a No. 1 Amazon best-seller, likely because people are searching for the “best compact camera for travel” on Google. A standalone camera is a no-brainer for crisp and clear photos to capture your adventures, too.
We love the Longchamp Le Pliage Energy S Travel Bag for being both unisex and spacious. Google Shopping told us that Longchamp is the top travel bag brand, followed by CALPAK, Foldie, Vera Bradley and Travelon.
This bag comes in a variety of colors and is clad with only recycled polyamide canvas on the exterior and cowhide leather on the interior.
Meet our all-time favorite duffle bag: the BÉIS The Weekender. Hailing from celeb Shay Mitchell’s TikTok-viral travel brand, this one has one of the most ergonomic designs we’ve seen, including a bottom zip pocket to carry your running shoes and most popular heels.
What’s more, Google Shopping said duffle bags ranked No. 1 for the most popular travel bag type, followed by garment bags, tote bags, weekender bags and garment duffle bags. BÉIS is also the most popular for weekender-style duffle bags, per Google Shopping.
The YETI Hopper Flip 8 Soft Cooler is one of the most revered packs in the outdoor cooler space and the most popular cooler brand, per Google Shopping. Next in line? RTIC, Igloo, Ninja and ORCA.
Plus, YETI’s model can fit up to 11 cans or 10 pounds of ice, so it’s especially perfect for large groups or gatherings.
A beach bag splurge, for sure, the Miu Miu Palmetto Basket Tote Bag is the No. 1 searched-for beach bag brand, per Google Shopping, followed by Tory Burch, L.L.Bean, Roxy and Prada. These trends nod to consumers’ general willingness to splurge on a beach bag. Because, after all, you only need one.
The On Cloud 5 Women’s Sneaker, per Google Shopping, are the most-searched-for women’s travel shoe, followed by the HOKA Transport ($150), New Balance 327 ($100) and New Balance 574 ($90).
Whether walking or running, this pair of all-whites is one of our favorite styles that pairs with any outfit.
The top trending brand for men’s sandals, per Google Shopping, is Skechers, with slides populating as the most-searched-for type of sandal. We love how reasonably priced these are and the brand’s overall reputation for foot-supporting comfort.
Looking for budget-friendly sunglasses? The REKS Sport Polycarbonate Sunglasses is a pair that’s your best bet, especially because searches for “polycarbonate sunglasses” are the top trending type of sunglasses after spiking more than 500%, per Google Shopping.
We love Lulus, and the brand’s Escape to the Islands Multi Floral Smocked Sleeveless Jumpsuit is a testament to its affordable luxury catalog. For less than $75, this style proves that “70s summer outfits” and “soft summer outfits” are the top trending styles of “summer outfits,” according to Google Shopping.
