Love will be filling the streets of Burlington this February in a new celebration. Produced by Love Burlington and supported by Lake Champlain Chocolates, the month-long event will all types of activities to keep you busy.
During the traditionally chilly and quiet Vermont winter, the events invite people to shop for the perfect gift to melt someone’s heart, dine on local cuisine and experience romantic strolls under sparkling lights and live music on a cold evening.
Whether you’re a romantic, a fan of local art or simply enjoying the downtown energy, there’s something for everyone.

Month of Love highlights
- Sweet Stroll: A Chocolate Celebration in partnership with Lake Champlain Chocolates. Saturday, Feb. 1 at noon.
- Free Chocolate Tastings: Step into Lake Champlain Chocolates from noon to 4 p.m. for complimentary samples of their Five Star Bars. Don’t miss their limited-edition delights like Raspberry Hot Chocolate and Champagne Toasts – champagne-infused ganache in a chocolate cup. While supplies last.
- Enjoy milk chocolate coins, courtesy of Lake Champlain Chocolates, at 33 locations across the Marketplace, and discover sweet deals at 24 businesses.
- Live DJ: Groove your way through the marketplace with festive vibes and sweet tunes from DJ Love, 1 to 3 p.m.
- Warm up with Free Hot Chocolate: Cozy up at Phoenix Books with a complimentary taste of hot cocoa – courtesy of Lake Champlain Chocolates – from noon to 2 p.m. Perfect for sipping as you browse. While supplies last.
- BTV Love Notes: February 1 – 28.
- People can submit short, heartfelt messages to be displayed in participating downtown businesses. These notes can be dedicated to anyone or anything that brings joy, from a favorite local shop to a beloved pet. Submissions are open until midnight on Sunday, Feb. 16, at loveburlington.org/monthoflove.
- Hearts in the Park: February 1 – 28.
- Visit City Hall Park to pose with heart sculptures by local artist Clay Mohr, reimagined from the BTV Winter Market. The fountain will also feature pink, red and purple lights from 3 to 11 p.m. daily.
- The FRAME Light Show: February 1 – 25.
- Experience an hourly light show at The FRAME – 1 Lake Street – starting one hour before sundown until 11 p.m., showcasing red, white and pink lights. The display runs until Feb. 25.
- Lake Champlain Chocolates Offer: February 1 – 28.
- Present a receipt of $20 or more from any downtown Burlington business – dated between February 1-28 – at Lake Champlain Chocolates’ Church Street location to receive a free truffle. This offer is valid once per customer per day, excluding Feb. 12-14.
