Online master’s programs from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and School of Nursing are among the best in the nation in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Program Rankings, released Jan. 21.
UNC Kenan-Flagler’s online Master of Business Administration now ranks No. 2 in the country, up from No. 3. The finance concentration is No. 1 among all programs of the sort, and several other tracks also ranked in the top five.
The UNC School of Nursing’s online Master of Science in nursing administration and leadership ranked No. 6, up one spot.
U.S. News publishes the online rankings to help prospective students find a trustworthy and flexible online college learning option.
Additional rankings include:
- No. 2 for MBA – general management
- No. 3 for MBA – marketing
- No. 3 for MBA – business analytics
- No. 12 for grad business – Master of Accounting
- No. 18 for grad business – Master of Accounting for veterans
The grad business category encompasses a variety of non-MBA master’s programs, while online MBAs have separate rankings.
Last fall, U.S. News ranked UNC-Chapel Hill among the top five publics in the nation for the 23rd consecutive year. It was No. 27 overall and No. 1 for best value among public universities for the 20th time.
