LAKEWOOD, Wash. – Police in Lakewood report two people were shot inside the B&I Public Marketplace on Friday.
Timeline:
At around 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 17, officers say they received word of shots fired inside B&I on South Tacoma Way.
Once there, one man and one woman were found with gunshot wounds to their legs. Police say an argument broke out between two men when one pulled a gun and fired, hitting the man in the leg. The woman also hit was an innocent bystander, according to LPD.
What they’re saying:
Both gunshot victims were transported to the hospital. “Their status is not currently known, but each appear non-life threatening,” said Sergeant Charles Porche.
The shooter is believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle. As of Friday night, police were still looking for the suspect.
