Before Christmas, some Megaphone customers saw a significant decrease in download numbers. “Something seems off”, one told us, “…and I can’t get a straight answer as to why.” The company has now sent a message to users saying that they’d found a bug; and that it’s fixed – affected dates are Nov 21 to Jan 13. Payouts were unaffected.
It’s emerged that one of those laid-off by TuneIn this week was Steve Gaysinskiy, who was responsible for maintaining TuneIn’s integrations with different partners. It was the latest in a series of unreported layoffs at the company, which still offers a podcast directory in spite of not accepting new shows since February last year.
