Amanda Deto-Sloan has been promoted to partner with MG+M The Law Firm.
Deto-Sloan defends clients in complex civil litigation and focuses her practice on toxic torts, including asbestos and talc litigation. She has successfully represented manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and premise owners involving exposure to various toxins throughout all stages of litigation.
She earned a bachelor’s from Florida Gulf Coast University and a law degree, magna cum laude, from New England Law | Boston. Deto-Sloan served on the editorial board of New England Law Review and served as a judicial extern for U.S. District Judge John W. deGravelles, of Baton Rouge.

Cynthia T. Hayes has been named president and CEO of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans.
She replaces Sister Marjorie Hebert, who retired last month after 12 years as president and CEO.
Hayes has more than 40 years of fundraising experience. She spent more than 25 years with Tulane University, most recently serving as senior director of medical alumni relations and development at the university’s School of Medicine. Before going to Tulane, she was president and principal of Cabrini High School.

Hebert was most recently assistant project manager.

Tad Bartlett and Kaja Elmer have been elected as partners with Fishman Haygood.
Bartlett heads the appellate group and practices more broadly in the firm’s litigation section. Since 2019, Bartlett has served as an adjunct professor at Tulane Law School teaching an advanced seminar on coastal law litigation and policy.
Elmer focuses on a wide range of commercial litigation matters. She represents businesses in commercial disputes, investors and borrowers in securities fraud actions, and trustees and receivers in bankruptcy-related litigation in state and federal court.

James “Jim” E. Tonglet has been elected managing partner of Ericksen Krentel CPA.
Tonglet most recently led the firm’s northshore accounting and audit practice.
Ericksen Krentel also elected Josh Faubert and Kelly Haden to its partnership.
Faubert most recently served as a senior manager in the firm’s accounting and audit services section.
Haden most recently served as a senior manager in the firm’s tax services section with a focus on tax compliance and small business consulting.

Daniel Marks has been hired by Neel-Schaffer as a senior project manager for the Louisiana Transportation Group.
Marks has more than a decade of experience in transportation engineering and management, including eight years with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
He earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Gambino practices in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction disputes.

McDiarmid specializes in labor and employment law, with a focus on complaints related to compensation, leave, discrimination and retaliation.

Frank Corcoran Jr. has been named chief executive officer of Lane Regional Medical Center.
Corcoran has more than 20 years of health care leadership experience. He spent the past three years as CEO of Sierra Vista Hospital in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. He replaces Larry Meese, who is retiring from Lane after serving the organization for the past eight years.
He earned a bachelor’s in nursing from LSU School of Nursing and a master’s in health care administration from Capella University.

Hensgens spent the past 15 years as managing partner of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson.
