Do the Lions play today? Schedule, time, channel for next Detroit NFL playoff game | Sporting News

Must read

On the heels of clinching the No. 1 seed for the first time in franchise history, the Lions have the luxury of a well-earned bye week.

Detroit (15-2) captured the NFC North with a domineering 22-point win over the Vikings to cap Week 18. Now, the Lions will watch the wild-card weekend unfold before embarking on a sprint towards Super Bowl 59.

Detroit will play the lowest remaining seed in the Divisional Round, with No. 4 Los Angeles, No. 5 Minnesota, No. 6 Washington, and No. 7 Green Bay looming as possible opponents.

Last year, the upstart Lions fell just shy of the Super Bowl, losing in the NFC Championship Game. Is this the year that Detroit makes the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history?

Here is everything that you need to know about the Lions’ first playoff game.

When is the Lions’ next game?

  • Matchup: Lions vs. TBD
  • Date: Saturday, Jan. 18 or Sunday, Jan. 19
  • Time: TBD
  • TV channel: TBD
  • Live stream: Fubo (U.S.) | DAZN (Canada)
  • Tickets: StubHub

As the Lions await their opponent in the NFC Divisional Round, they know that they will not play the second-seeded Eagles or the third-seeded Buccaneers. Rather, Detroit will face the lowest remaining seed following the wild-card round, which leaves No. 4 Los Angeles, No. 5 Minnesota, No. 6 Washington, and No. 7 Green Bay as possibilities.

The game will be played on either Saturday, Jan. 18 or Sunday, Jan. 19 from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan; the Lions have home-field throughout the NFC playoffs.

Though the game time and TV channel are TBD, viewers can stream the game on Fubo in the U.S. and with DAZN in Canada.

For a limited time, you can get your first month of Fubo for as low as $49.99, a $30 savings. Stream ESPN, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and 200+ top channels of live TV and sports without cable. (Participating plans only. Taxes and fees may apply.)
