What’s coming to Montgomery Village next? Two more stores confirmed for shopping center

Must read

Club Pilates and Sprinkles join the list of businesses on its way to Santa Rosa after the shopping mall announced three other businesses in August.

To kick off the new year, Montgomery Village aims to add two more stores to its shopping center — Club Pilates and Sprinkles.

A representative from Montgomery Village confirmed in an email the two businesses were coming to the center, but did not provide additional details.

Club Pilates is a workout studio franchise focused on core strengthening and stretch exercises. There are two other locations in Sonoma County — one in Rohnert Park and one in Petaluma. The new location in Santa Rosa will be at 2414 Midway Drive, according to its website, across the street from Avid Coffee.

Sprinkles is a chain cupcake bakery made famous by celebrity pastry chef Candice Nelson. The bakery started in 2005 and there are 26 locations nationwide. It’s also known for its ATMs in certain cities that dispense cupcakes.

In August, Montgomery Village announced three other store openings that have not yet opened. The new stores will be the luxury beauty and makeup store Bluemercury, facial bar FACE FOUNDRIÉ and restaurant Mendocino Farms.

FACE FOUNDRIÉ focuses on quick and affordable facials, lash extensions and other spa services. Started in 2019 in Minnesota by CEO Michele Henry, the chain has over 40 locations nationally with several more storefronts on the way.

Mendocino Farms is a fast-casual restaurant serving sandwiches and salads. Started in Downtown L.A., there are more than 50 locations, including Vacaville.

In addition to the Montgomery Village shop, Bluemercury is opening a store in Napa on Jan. 11. The chain is a subsidiary of Macy’s Inc., and is part of the retail giant’s strategy to close 150 of its underperforming stores over the next three years, putting focus on Bluemercury and on Bloomingdale’s, its other high end brand.

In a list Macy’s released Thursday, 66 of its stores will close next month. Neither the Santa Rosa Plaza Macy’s nor the Coddingtown store were on that list.
