INDIA. Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has launched a 70-day Summer Carnival, themed ‘Oceanic Escape’.
The passenger experience extravaganza commenced on 22 April and runs until 10 July.
It provides a range of special events and activities to passengers, alongside exclusive offers and discounts across 125 retail and 127 food & beverage outlets.
The Summer Carnival features gaming areas and retail promotions across both terminals 1 and 2, including brand offers and cashbacks to exclusive gifts with purchase and limited-time deals.
Qualifying transactions in airport stores give passengers a chance to win gift coupons which can be redeemed for exclusive discounts and offers on flight bookings, train tickets, hotel bookings and shopping.
Brands featuring in special retail promotions include Carlton London, Da Milano, Steve Madden, Hidesign and Parcos, while discounted food & beverage items are available from the likes of Baskin Robbins, Shree Datta Snacks, New York Burritos, Moti Mahal and Foody’s.
One of the carnival highlights is the Mango Festival, where travellers can buy high-quality, rich-flavoured Alphonso mangoes, freshly-picked from the Indian port town of Ratnagiri and local village Devgad.
Adding to the fun is CSMIA’s Mr. Mango, a mango-shaped mascot designed specifically to interact with children.
