Turtle Bay Tuesday: Holiday shopping at the Museum Store!

Must read

Preston Donion met with Seth McGaha for some Christmas shopping at the Museum Store in this week’s edition of Turtle Bay Tuesday.

The Museum Store is an interesting stop to check out all year round, but it might also be the solution to your holiday blues if you have to do some last minute shopping.

McGaha shared a little bit of history about the store, he said it has been around since the beginning of Turtle Bay and has even been moved to a few different locations over the years. McGaha said two years ago, they moved the store into the museum for visitors’ convenience.

McGaha mentioned that the store is open to everyone, and no admission fee is required.

He said it’s full of great local artisan items, and things that represent Redding the Sundial Bridge, and Turtle Bay. It’s a great spot for holiday shopping and they offer a 75% off clearance area.

A particular point of interest is their involvement with local community artists. McGaha said, “We work with a lot of local shops and businesses to highlight their work and their items so it’s a great spot to shop.”

The store is open during museum hours, from Wednesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the weekends. However, they will be closed on Christmas Day.
