On the Last Day of a ‘Deceptrograde’
While deception can have a negative association, it’s a strategy for survival and an evolutionary adaptation we are not alone in having; many other species have evolved to do this, too. And there would be no entertainment, espionage or diplomacy were we not able to transform ourselves. On the last day of Mercury’s retrograde, consider the positive ways to utilize misunderstood talents.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Your openness and honesty have made an impact on someone, evidence forthcoming. You feel cherished and appreciated for all the heart you put into your connections. Ahead there are many more moments of feeling fully seen and loved!
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It can be difficult to get the freedom of time and space that you need to be fully yourself, but definitely try. Where can you talk, sing, yell, cry or generally express yourself instead of keeping feelings bottled? Perhaps a car.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Don’t worry about building a relationship. It will build on its own. All you have to do is open up, grant trust and welcome someone into your world. Every connection you make will happen through allowing, not building.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Acts of self-care will lift your mood. It doesn’t have to be much either; just taking the time to be authentically yourself is enough to restore you. What have you been missing lately? What experience or treat do you crave?
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You are well-aware of how people can talk about what they know with the same confident tone they use to talk about what they don’t know. Sometimes good people will do this unthinkingly. Check the facts.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You want a person to take a step, so you will make it easy. You will build the steps that aren’t there. This is the role of a visionary who makes things happen in the world, which is you all the way.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You’ll appreciate the knowledge people share with you through narrative. Just remember, the person who tells a story and the one who lived through it are not one and the same because a good story features a protagonist who is changed by the journey.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). When the task is challenging, and there are too many big personalities involved, things have a way of quickly devolving into a mess. Make good decisions at the head of a problem or you’ll be fixing it for a very long time.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The situation involves you, but it’s not about you, which comes as a relief. As you let go and watch what happens, your detachment will help you understand where the opportunities lie for you.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Sales, magic, scams and, to some extent, interpersonal communication will depend on guided attention. Like a film director emphasizing a detail of the scene to pull audience focus, the stage will be set for surprise.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Though it does you no good to dwell in something negative, it also won’t do you any good to ignore it completely. Once you identify the thing that’s bothering you, you’re already halfway to solving it.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You may struggle to work up the motivation to follow through with a plan. It’s not self-discipline you lack; it’s desire. When you want it more, you’ll do more to get it. So what do you want more?
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Dec. 14). An ever-expanding inner freedom is the cosmic gift that empowers you to take on challenges, revel in joys and respond to life with certainty and authenticity. Labels don’t apply. More highlights: A quirky skill becomes a source of pride. A beautiful collaboration comes together. Your name will be called at the award ceremony. Capricorn and Aries adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 10, 4, 37, 1 and 15.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Known for her role as Kat Hernandez in “Euphoria,” Barbie Ferreira quickly became an icon for challenging traditional beauty standards and being a champion for body diversity and mental health awareness. Pushing for greater diversity in fashion and media is so Sagittarius, as is being multi-lingual and celebrating diverse influences of cultural heritage.
