Costco has a big membership deal that will give you an additional $45 towards your holiday shopping.

For a limited time, Costco is giving away a free $45 gift card when you sign up for an annual Gold membership by Dec. 22. You can use the gift card to shop Costco’s extensive range of groceries, electronics, housewares, fashion and beauty products — online and in stores.

A Costco Gold membership typically costs $65 a year but with the the free $45 Costco gift card, you’ll save on the total cost of your next shopping trip. Plus, you’ll snag more perks as a Costco Gold member.

A Gold membership includes access to deals on Costco’s website and in more than 800 warehouse locations worldwide, Costco’s 100% satisfaction guarantee and more member savings benefits.

The Gold membership deal is only available to new Costco members or those who have not had an active membership in 18 months. New memberships need to be redeemed by Jan. 31, to receive the $45 gift card, which will arrive by email within two weeks of redemption.

After the one-year promotion period has ended, your membership will automatically renew at the regular yearly rate unless canceled first.

Costco also offers an Executive membership for $130 a year, which also includes 2% cashback on eligible purchases, discounts on Costco services and more.
