Google Search Ranking Volatility Continues Post November Core Update

Must read

The Google November 2024 core update finished on December 5th, but we have continued to see search ranking volatility after the update was finished. That ranking volatility seemed to spike more over the weekend. Did you notice any big ranking movement over the weekend?

It is unclear if these are the remnants of that core update or a new, and unconfirmed, Google algorithm update.

Some of the tools are even showing more volatility than we saw during parts of the official core update.

That being said, here is what we are seeing over the weekend.

SEO Chatter

There is SEO chatter throughout the weekend spotted at WebmasterWorld and here – here are some select quotes from that chatter:

We’re still seeing quite significant movement.

HUGE drop this morning… Here we go….

Nothing is reversing or improving. There was miraculous spurt of traffic yesterday for just couple of hours but it was gone quickly and today is awful as usual for this November update.

Traffic is very weak. Especially US traffic.

Here too. Everything was very slow this morning…

Well, what can I say, unfortunately here too

Big drop this morning again, after a decent Saturday. I’m seeing the same pattern since this last update started…low traffic from USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, and other EU countries.

Oddly before it was my articles that got hammered, and today they are normal, but some of the main category pages and home page have been hit.
