On Tuesday media giant News Corp’s stock closed at an all-time high. Wednesday it eased a bit but still held near the high. Meanwhile the Relative Strength (RS) Rating for News Corp (NWS) jumped into a higher percentile Wednesday, as it got a lift from 67 to 73.
The 73 Relative Strength Rating means that News Corp tops 73% of all stocks in IBD’s database for price performance this past year. The upgrade for the media stock comes after the company reported strong earnings growth this past year.
News Corp Saw 4 Quarters Of Double-Digit Profit Growth
Earnings over the past four quarters grew 86%, 22%, 21% and 31% last quarter to 21 cents per share. Revenue rose 3% in its most recent quarter to $2.58 billion.
