Fredonia/Westfield sophomore Trenton Krenzer was named a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Large School First-Team All-Star.

Maple Grove junior Ethan Verbosky has gotten used to having his name come up first in cross country competitions. Not only did he win the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association championship by more than 30 seconds, but he won the Section VI Class D title and finished in eighth place at states.

For all of that success, Verbosky was named the boys Runner of the Year among the Small Schools for the CCAA.

Jamestown junior Clevon Wofford finished third at CCAA championships, then claimed sixth at the Section VI Class A championship and finished inside the top 75 at states. Wofford’s efforts earned him the honor as the CCAA boys Large School Runner of the Year.

Southwestern sophomore Emma Lewis also had an incredible year winning the CCAA championship by more than 30 seconds. Lewis then finished fourth at the Section VI Class C finals and earned seventh at states. Lewis was rewarded as the girls Large School Runner of the Year by the CCAA.

Finishing behind Lewis at the CCAA championships was Allegany-Limestone freshman Elexa Duggan. Then, competing in the Section VI Class D championships, Duggan earned second place, and finished in fifth at states before earning the distinction as CCAA girls Small School Runner of the Year.
