Exposure management company Tenable announced that Drogaria Araujo, the largest pharmacy chain in Minas Gerais and the fifth largest in Brazil, has chosen Tenable One to know, expose, and close critical cybersecurity gaps and ensure business continuity.
With over 300 stores in 50 cities, cyber exposure coverage to prevent costly business interruptions is crucial. Using Tenable One, Drogaria Araujo has gained visibility into its growing hybrid attack surface for its 7,600 assets and streamlined investment decisions for the board of directors while reducing costs by 25 percent. This has ensured that the InfoSec team has new opportunities to focus on critical remediation projects and meaningful work.
“Tenable One is more than a security platform—it’s a business solution that helps understand the attack surface, eliminate blind spots, and build a baseline for effective exposure management,” says Daniel Moreira, CISO Drogaria Araujo. “If you look at organizations that suffer cyberattacks, most of them don’t use an efficient exposure management approach. Before implementing Tenable One, we didn’t have a platform to manage vulnerabilities. As a CISO, I can’t fix the pains I can’t see, much less prioritize corrective actions based on risk exposure.”
Drogaria Araujo operates in a hybrid environment, with most of its legacy infrastructure, including hundreds of servers, running on-premises. Driven by digital transformation, the pharmacy chain’s cloud ecosystem supports new digital sales channels, website, and WhatsApp functionality.
Like many organizations, Drogaria Araujo operates with a lean security team. In a recent Forrester Consulting report commissioned by Tenable, 60 percent of cybersecurity leaders in Brazil said their InfoSec teams were too busy fighting critical incidents rather than acting to reduce exposure—an issue also reflected in the pharmacy.
Tenable One combines the broadest exposure coverage spanning IT and OT assets, cloud resources, containers, web apps, and identity systems. It identifies assets, enables unified visibility, quantifies risks, and using comprehensive analytics, prioritizes and validates remediation efforts.
Last month, Tenable introduced new data security posture management (DSPM) and artificial intelligence security posture management (AI-SPM) capabilities for Tenable Cloud Security, the actionable cloud security solution. By extending exposure management capabilities to cloud data and AI resources, Tenable Cloud Security reduces risk to two of the biggest emerging threats.
