DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) – Pink Friday encourages holiday shopping at women-owned stores.

Pink Friday, a nationwide movement launched in 2020, aims to support small businesses before the holiday rush of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This weekend, shoppers on can participate in the West Side’s Pink Friday event, featuring ten women-owned stores, including Shop Charbon.

Shannon Visconti, owner of Shop Charbon, brought Pink Friday to the West Side. “It’s an everyday hustle. We strive to get affordable clothing, accessories. Grocery prices, everything has gone up. We know our customers can spend their money anywhere, and we are just super excited when you come in the door. We do a happy dance when you come through the door,” said Visconti.

On November 22 and 23, participating stores will offer special deals, giveaways, and promotions. Shoppers can pick up a shopping passport at any of the ten stores and get it stamped at checkout for a chance to win a gift card basket.

Visconti emphasized the importance of the holiday season for small businesses. “It’s huge. It’s huge, and it benefits everybody. It benefits the shops, the more you shop the more product we can offer. It helps your community. All ten of us I know love to give back to the community. We do this because we love it, and we’re shoppers. We love this. It fuels our shopping addiction,” she said.
