FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., November 14, 2024 – A range of maintenance and capital improvement projects scheduled by the City of Bullhead City will take place throughout the city during the week of November 18.

One of the key projects is the slurry sealing of the southern side of Bullhead Parkway between Adobe Rd and Highway 95 by city street maintenance crews as part of the City Street Maintenance Program (CSMP) 2024-2025. For a full schedule and list of streets receiving microsurface treatment, visit the CSMP page on the city’s website.

Other maintenance projects planned for the week include street sweeping in various parts of the city on the upcoming CSMP schedule, and asphalt and concrete repairs where recent water line repairs occurred.

Capital improvement projects will also commence, including the installment of a raised median with street lights along Bullhead Parkway between Silvercreek Rd and Laredo Dr. by McCormick Construction. This is a grant-funded Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) under the supervision of the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Perco Rock Company, on behalf of the city, will be preparing for improvements to the intersection of Highway 95 and Merrill Ave, including the expansion of parking at the Optimum Community Center and upgrading of the Bullhead Senior Enrichment Center.

These improvements come with a temporary inconvenience for residents as the Optimum Community Center will close due to renovations and construction, expected to take several months.

Bullhead City utilities will also install smart meters on several private wells in the community. The public is advised to dispose of waste cautiously to prevent damaging the infrastructure.

The city advises the public to use caution in these work zones, obey posted signage and traffic control devices. Residents can use the Bullhead City Direct app to report issues directly to city staff.

For more information on ongoing projects, contact Mackenzie Covert, Public Information Officer, at mcovert@bullheadcityaz.gov or (928) 763-0182.
