Clemson football continues the stretch of must-win games with Saturday’s trip to Pitt.
The Tigers (7-2, 6-1 ACC) rebounded from the Louisville loss with a 24-14 win at Virginia Tech. Clemson’s offense was shut out in the first half, then scored 24 unanswered points in the second half. Miami’s loss at Georgia Tech opens the door for a tiebreaker advantage for the Tigers should the Hurricanes lose again in the league, but Clemson will need to win first.
Pitt (7-2, 3-2 ACC) has lost two games in a row, including a home loss to Virginia last week.

Greenville News reporter Derrian Carter’s prediction: Clemson 30, Pittsburgh 21
The Panthers have been on a free fall since losing to SMU two weeks ago and will suffer another defeat Saturday. Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik will exit his slump to lift Clemson offensively, and their defense will back him by generating a key turnover to escape Pittsburgh with a win and keep its CFP hopes alive.
