Hot on the heels of eBay removing selling fees across all categories (except vehicles), Outernet and eBay are hosting a two-day experience dedicated to helping people see things differently, when it comes to buying and selling this Christmas.
Listings in Lights is an immersive holiday shopping experience that lets people shop pre-loved items across luxury, fashion, home, tech and toys, from private eBay sellers across the UK.
The experience illuminates items that people have listed on eBay in the lead up to the event, in festive lights on our giant 360° screens. Visitors can scan QR codes at the event and shop these products straight from eBay.
From 2nd to 6th November, people across the UK can list items, for a chance to see their listings promoted at Outernet as part of the eBay Listings in Lights activation. To be in with the chance to have your item showcased, simply include the hashtag #ListingsinLights in your listings title, and have them be online ahead of the 8th November.
The screens will envision a traditional shopping scene, with an eBay store integrated in bricks and mortar. Following this, guests will be transported inside the world of eBay’s online shopping marketplace, where the activation will come to life.

Kirsty Keoghan, General Manager at eBay UK said:
“Our Listings in Lights experience aims to make it easier than ever for sellers to spotlight their items, and for buyers to find inspiration for everyone on their list ahead of the festive season. With the removal of selling fees on the platform, it’s now easier than ever to sell items you no longer love to make some extra cash for Christmas, using the money you make to shop for pre-loved presents that you know your loved ones will want this year. We’re excited to watch this come to life on screen, inspiring people to see things and shop differently this festive period.”
