‘Got A Call…’: Donald Trump Claims Google CEO Sundar Pichai Complimented His McDonald’s Visit

Former President Donald Trump claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai dialed him to compliment his recent visit to McDonald’s. “I did McDonald’s last week and I actually got a call from Sundar (Pichai),” Donald Trump said during an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast. “He said, ‘This is the biggest thing we’ve had in years.’” The Republican candidate recently donned an apron and briefly stepped into the role of a fry cook at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. Trump took a dig at his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, claiming he”worked 15 minutes more than Kamala” during his stint at the fast food outlet.

Trump continued, “Sundar, who’s a great guy by the way, said, ‘This McDonald’s thing, I want to tell you, it’s one of the biggest things we’ve ever had on Google. It just hit.’”

Trump made a surprise stop at a McDonald’s in a move to challenge his Democratic rival Harris’s claims of a “middle-class background,” which she often highlights in her campaign ads and speeches, referencing her own experiences working at the fast food chain.

Trump took off his tailored suit for a black and yellow apron during a recent visit to a McDonald’s. As he joined the kitchen staff, the Republican candidate rolled up his sleeves to cook batches of french fries, eagerly learning the ropes from an employee. In a lighthearted conversation, he joked that this was something he had “wanted to do all my life.”

During her speeches, the US Vice President mentioned that she had worked at the McDonald’s fast-food chain during her college years in California in the 1980s. However, Trump refuted her claims, saying she never worked at McDonald’s.

“It was a big part of her resume that she worked at McDonald’s — how tough a job it was,” Trump said. “She made the french fries, and she talked about the heat: ‘It was so tough.’ She’s never worked at McDonald’s”. He further said, “I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala”.

Joseph Costello, a key advisor to Kamala Harris, said that the visit was a symbol of Trump’s approach to leadership: “taking advantage of workers for his own benefit.” A huge crowd gathered outside the McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, which is a swing area in Bucks County, while the place was off-limits to the public for Trump’s visit.
