New hires at Fishman Haygood, Ryan Gootee, Gordon Arata

Elizabeth A. McGovern and Benjamin “Ben” M. Parks have joined Gordon Arata as associate attorneys.

McGovern will support senior attorneys working with clients in a range of industries, including energy and environmental, banking, chemical and industrial, construction, real estate and telecommunications.

She earned a law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. McGovern was a member of the Loyola Law Review and co-founded the school’s current chapter of the Women Law Students Association. 

Parks’ practice is focused on transactional matters including commercial real estate, oil, gas and energy, mergers and acquisitions, and construction law.

He earned a bachelors in political science from LSU and his law degree, cum laude, from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. He served as a senior associate and development editor of the Louisiana Law Review. Parks worked as a judicial extern for U.S. District Judge Brian A. Jackson, of Baton Rouge.

Maggie Daly and Dylan M. Futrell have joined the New Orleans office of Fishman Haygood as associates in the litigation section.

Daly earned her law degree, summa cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She clerked for retired U.S. District Judge Carl J. Barbier, of New Orleans.

Futrell earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. He served as the casenote and comment editor of the Loyola Law Review.

Ryan Gootee General Contractors has recently hired three employees.

Joining the staff are Robert King, project superintendent; Margarita Mall, human resources generalist; and Caeli Boatner, marketing specialist.

Baton Rouge

Dr. Tuan Tran has joined Baton Rouge General’s Advanced Robotics Institute.

Tran is an advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeon specializing in general and bariatric surgery. He treats hernias, gallbladders and colon diseases. He also performs weight loss surgery at BRG’s Louisiana Center for Bariatrics.

He earned an undergraduate degree from LSU and a medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Tran completed a general surgery residency at LSU Health Sciences Center and a bariatric surgery fellowship at AdventHealth Tampa.

Megan A. Broussard has joined the Baton Rouge office of Fishman Haygood as an associate in the business section.

Broussard’s practice primarily focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate.

She earned a law degree, cum laude, from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Broussard served as the executive senior editor of the Louisiana Law Review.
