If there is an outstanding staff member providing excellent, impactful support for students or faculty in their use of technology, we want to know about them! Nominations are now open for the 2025 Williams Outstanding Technology Service Award.

All full-time administrative professional or civil service employees with at least four years of experience in their role or similar roles at Illinois State University are eligible to be nominated. They must demonstrate “outstanding service in a computer or technology support position to learning, teaching, research, and creative activities in any area of Illinois State University that has a direct impact on scholarly activities of students and/or faculty.”

Nominations, which consist of a nominating letter and two additional letters of support, are due by Friday, November 22 at 4:30 p.m.

The Williams Outstanding Technology Service Award was established in 2001 by David B. and Kay O. Williams to recognize an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to the University in the area of technology and service. This award will help recognize Dr. Williams’ commitment to building a “technology-friendly campus” in support of learning, teaching, research, and creative activities at Illinois State University.
