Crashes

Minnesota State Patrol: one vehicle crash with injuries, 12:05 p.m. Friday, westbound Interstate 90 in Mile 10, Rock County. Paul Gan Wong, 75, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was driving a 2018 Honda Pilot westbound when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a bridge railing. Wong was not injured, however, a passenger, Enid Poking Wong, 75, of Sioux Falls, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Luverne Hospital. Both individuals were wearing seatbelts and the airbag did deploy. Assisting at the scene were the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Luverne Fire Department and Sanford Luverne Ambulance.

WPD: crash without injuries, 6:15 p.m. Friday, 2000 block of North Humiston Avenue.

NCSO: crash with injuries, 12:31 a.m. Saturday, 17000 block of Corey Avenue, Lismore.

PCSO: crash without injuries, 6:40 a.m. Saturday, Pipestone Performing Arts Center, Pipestone. Jeffrin Diaz-Lopex was driving a 2005 GMC Envoy when he collided with a 2011 Range Rover owned by Jodi Bourne, which led to a chain reaction crash with a 2003 Dodge Caravan owned by Luis Vargas Lorenzana and a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder owned by Cristobal Ruiz Quiroz. All three vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the crash. Diaz-Lopex then struck the Pipestone Performing Arts Building and drove through the front doors before leaving the scene. Diaz-Lopex was cited for Careless Driving and Driving without a valid license.

NCSO: vehicle off roadway, 5:03 p.m. Saturday, 10000 block of U.S. 59, Fulda.

Minnesota State Patrol: two-vehicle crash with injuries, 2:04 p.m. Sunday, Minnesota 60 and 570th Avenue, Mountain Lake. A 16-year-old female was driving a 2013 GMC Terrain southbound on 570th Avenue when she collided with a 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by Jeffery Robert Fouch, 47, Worthington, who was westbound on Minnesota 60. There was no condition report on the driver of the GMC, however, the vehicle contained three passengers: Dominga Tomas Juarez, 40, Windom, and a 13-year-old male, also of Windom, each of whom sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the Windom Hospital, and Tomas Us Perez, 37, Windom, who was not injured. Individuals in the GMC, with the exception of the 13-year-old, were wearing seatbelts and the airbag did deploy. Jeffery Fouch was not injured, however, a passenger, Erica Rae Fouch, 41, Worthington, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Windom Hospital. Both were wearing seatbelts and the airbag did deploy. Assisting at the scene were the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, and Mountain Lake Police, Fire and Ambulance departments.

WPD: crash without injuries, 6:12 p.m. Sunday, intersection of Sixth Avenue and 10th Street.
