Over $4.5 million will be coming to local municipalities through state funding.
Yesterday, lawmakers announced funding that will go toward infrastructure projects.
Some projects of note:
Evans City and Zelienople Borough each received $600,000. Evans City will address flooding by relocating utilities and install five new outfalls and associated storm sewers that tie into the existing storm sewer system. Zelienople will look to enhance green space by demolishing and removing present obstacles, and the installation of sidewalks, benches, retaining wall and planters, on the Main Street Parklet.
Mars received $500,000 to replace an aging cast iron waterline on Crowe Avenue and Pittsburgh Street. Jackson Township was given just over $470,000 to connect the trail between Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School and Zelienople Park.
Clearfield Township will receive nearly $700,000 for two separate projects, the first is to repave Herman Road and renovate the municipal building.
$500,000 will go towards Oakland Township to build a new municipal complex, that will house the public works garage, a salt shed, and an administrative building. The Bear Creek Watershed Authority will get $285,300 to install emergency generators at four sewage treatment plants.
Jefferson Township received $250,000 for renovations of the community pool, Chicora will spend just over $230,000 to purchase a backhoe loader and water system maintenance and snow removal.
Summit Township will be given $105,000 to purchase a track loader, Winfield township will use just under $100,000 for a rubber playground surface.
$85,000 will got to upgrading public bathrooms in Roebling Park. Donegal will get $44,000 to spend on and 11-foot plow spreader.
Finally, the Butler County Community Development Corporation will receive $28,485 to purchase police equipment upgrades.
