Even though Samsung Unpacked 2025 is making headlines right now, that doesn’t mean other phone users, especially those on Google Pixels, are getting left out.

Google today has announced that several features introduced at Samsung Unpacked will also be heading to other Android phones soon. Some of these are specific to the Pixel 9 lineup, but most are coming to all recent Android phones. Here’s a look at what’s on the way.
1. A more capable Gemini agent
First, Gemini is adding the ability to chain actions across multiple connected apps and services. For example, if you’re trying to find a new restaurant for your friend group, instead of asking Gemini for a list and then texting the results, you can ask Gemini to compile options and send them to a certain person.

Similarly, if you’re planning for the baseball season, you can say something like, “Find the Chicago Cubs upcoming schedule and add all games to my calendar.” This is coming to all devices with Gemini supported, and the company says the feature should work on popular Google services like Maps, Calendar, and YouTube, with third-party support expanding with time.
2. Gemini Live and Project Astra are more context-aware
Want to give more visual context? Gemini Live will now allow you to add images, files, and YouTube videos to the conversation. You’ll find this on the Galaxy S24, S25, and Pixel 9. Similarly, Project Astra, Google’s multimodal, super-charged AI assistant is adding capabilities like screen sharing and live video streaming. This will be accessible via the Gemini mobile app and become available in the coming months to the Galaxy S25 and Pixel 9.
3. Circle to Search can pull in more information
In addition, Circle to Search is growing, adding the ability to utilize one-tap actions for phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs. By circling one of these items, you can immediately make a call, send a message, or visit a site.

Google also says it’s expanding AI Overviews for Circle to Search, providing them with a greater number of searches for places, trending images, unique objects, and more. Just like it does for regular Google searches, Circle to Search will produce an AI-generated snapshot of helpful information with links to learn more. This is coming to all Android devices where AI Overviews are available.
