Hotels across the country strive to satisfy guests as best they can, and those looking for a five-star stay don’t have to travel out of Massachusetts.
U.S. News & World Report ranked 3,900-plus top properties for 2025 and three from Boston made the final cut.
Below is a breakdown of each Boston hotel on the list.
Raffles Boston (No. 7)
U.S. News wrote that Raffles Boston “charms guests with its contemporary design and effortless elegance.” The hotel’s three-story Sky Lobby “offers sweeping city views and two floors of sophisticated meeting and event space.” Butler service is provided in all of Raffles’ rooms and suites, which also house private bars, Nespresso makers and Bluetooth sound bars. Guests can dine at La Padrona or Amar and sip on cocktails at Blind Duck or the Long Bar & Terrace. Other amenities include a spa, steam room, indoor pool and fitness center.
Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street (No. 13)
This 61-story skyscraper is not only one of the tallest buildings in Boston, it’s also a five-star hotel. The Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street in Back Bay “houses a varied art collection with works from acclaimed artists that aim to connect guests with the city’s creative history,” U.S. News wrote. The hotel houses “contemporary-style guest rooms and suites” such as the Back Bay Corner Suite, Charles Suite and the Presidential Suite on the 21st floor. On-site amenities include a spa, fitness center and an indoor pool, as well as two restaurants and a lobby bar.
Boston Harbor Hotel (No. 20)
The Boston Harbor Hotel, located along the harbor waters of Rowes Wharf, was applauded for its “scenic views and easy access to numerous Boston shops, attractions and restaurants,” U.S. News wrote. The five-star hotel offers “spacious accommodations” with complimentary Wi-Fi, smart TVs and tablets in every room. Dining options include Rowes Wharf Sea Grille and The Dark Bar. Boston Harbor Hotel also offers afternoon tea service and in-room dining. Amenities include a fitness center with a pool, golf simulator, sauna and steam room. The hotel also boasts a 20,000-square-foot waterfront meeting space for events such as the Boston Wine & Food Festival.
In addition, The Nantucket Hotel & Resort also landed on U.S. News’ list at No. 36.
U.S. News determined its ranking by using a methodology that factored in each hotel’s star rating, industry accolades and guest sentiment.
