AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Starting Monday, the city of Augusta will close two roads for infrastructure improvements, according to city officials.
Officials say the intersection of 13th Street and Jones Street will be closed for brick crosswalk installation. They say the intersection will be closed for approximately two weeks.
They warn that traffic coming over the Savannah River Bridge from North Augusta will need to detour left or right at Reynolds Street
Wylds Road between the Augusta Mall and North Leg Road will be closed at the railroad tracks for repairs starting Tuesday. The repairs should take approximately one week to complete, according to officials.
Officials say to expect heavy delays while traveling through these areas. Using alternate routes is recommended.
A detour will be in place for both areas, according to officials.
