WATERTOWN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – This week, US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced a $2.5 million grant to Watertown.
The funds will be used for sewer infrastructure improvements, particularly to support business growth at the Watertown Industrial Park.
“The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to strengthening public infrastructure that will pave the way for future jobs and private investment,” said Sec. Raimondo. “This EDA investment will increase current and future development at the Watertown Industrial Park, helping to grow and diversify the local economy.”
Local funds will add nearly $900,000 to the project, which is expected to create 30 jobs and attract $10 million in private investment.
